Harry V. Trost, 82 of Streator, passed away Friday, August 7, at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 - 11:30AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery with Military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW. Pallbearers will be Jerry and Jason Trost, Loren Kmetz, Luke Wiechman, Don Hart and Darrell Mondie.
He was born, September 10, 1926 in Cullom, IL to Frank and Alta (Mortiemer) Trost. He married Joyce Regenold on July 7, 1952, she survives
Surviving are Sons, Frank Trost of Chicago, Jerry Trost of Streator, Brian Trost of Melborne, FL Daughters, Teresa Neil) Cox of Las Vegas, NV, Brenda (Loren) Kmetz of Streator, Elizabeth Trost of Ottawa, Theda Trost of Kankakee, Step-Daughter, Jean Hitch of Kentucky, Step-Son, Roger Washburn of Indiana, 10 Grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, Sister, Velma Lawrence of Bloomington, IL
He was preceded in death by Step-daughter, Marianne Darby, Brothers, Ernest, LaVerne and Arthur and Sisters, Helen and Loretta.
He was affiliated with St. Bernards Church in Clementsville, KY and Lifetime member of the Green River VFW Post 5704 serving as Quarter master for 3yrs. He enjoyed poker playing, fishing and deer hunting. He graduated from Cullom High School in 1945. Served in the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific as a MP and retired from Holland Trucking.
