Helen V. Cave, 80 of Streator passed away Sunday (Oct 21st) at OSF St. Joseph Hospital in Bloomington.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-3 PM, at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3 PM, at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Helen was born on March 7, 1932, in Streator, IL, to Lewis and Velma (Sutcliffe) Calder.
She married John Henry "Hank" Cave on October 15, 1950. He passed away November 27, 1979.
Surviving is sister, Ruth (James) Delheimer of San Angelo, TX; sister-in-law, Pat Calder of Pekin; sons-in-law, Raymond Clevenger of Lake Geneva, WI, and Paul Griffith of Cornell, 5 grandchildren, Shelley (Terry) Wilson of Flanagan; P.J. Griffith of Pontiac; Kelly (Craig) Hansen of Flanagan; Kimberly Griffith of Cornell; and Johnny (Kelly) Clevenger of Lake Geneva, WI; 8 great-grandchildren, Craig (fiancee Megan Mueller), Clay and Katie Wilson; Wyatt Griffith; Alexandra Hansen; Rebecca, Jeremiah, and Raymond Clevenger; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Cheryl Griffith and Becky Clevenger, and 3 brothers, Elmer, Robert, and Chuck Calder.
Helen attended Cornell grade schools and graduated Cornell High School in 1950. She worked at Owens as a selector and was a member of the Cornell United Methodist Church.
