Helen M. Fulkerson, 90 of Streator passed away Sunday (Nov. 4th) at Asta Care Center of Pontiac surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren, David Robert, Stacey, Christine, and Elizabeth Fulkerson, and Kareth Schaffer, Renae Keszycki, and son-in-law Henry Wiencek.
Pallbearers will be sons, James and David Fulkerson, son-in-law, J.Orin Taylor, grandsons, Doug and Keith Taylor, and great-grandsons, Matthew, Benjamin, and Zackery Taylor.
Helen was born on March 23, 1922 in Streator, IL to Albert and Bessie (Kennedy) Wonders.
She married Orville Fulkerson on October 3, 1942. He passed away April 20, 1993.
Surviving are children, Diana (J.Orin) Taylor of Cullom, James (Ruth Higgins) Fulkerson of Watergang, Holland, Linda (Henry Wiencek) Fulkerson of Chicago, and David (Kay) Fulkerson of Manville, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Ruth Mathis of Ancona, and brother, Eugene Wonders of Cornell, daughter-in-law, Jean Fulkerson of Old Say Brook, CT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Jack, and brother, Kenneth Wonders.
Helen graduated Long Point High School in 1940. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Streator.
Helen had been a member of the Pleasant Hour Club since 1940 and the Jolly Dozen Club since 1965.
