Helen A. Hastings, 91 of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (Dec. 21st) at Heritage Health.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9-11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Helen was born on April 5, 1921 in Streator, IL to Andrew and Ann (Madara) Marcin.
She married Edward C. Hastings on March 4, 1946. He passed away on November 1, 1998.
Surviving are sons, Patrick (Renee') Hastings of Streator and Joseph (Mary Lee) Hastings of West Minster, CO., 3 grandchildren, Nichole Keesee, and Matthew Hastings and A.J. Hastings, and 3 great-grandchildren, Mason, Reinar and Nadia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Ann Cook, Emma Reinamin, and Margaret Renner, and brother, Andrew Marcin.
Helen graduated from St. Stephen's grade school and Streator High School in 1939 and was employed at Owens's Illinois Glass and Streator Canning Factory. She was a member of the former St. Stephen's Church and Altar and Rosary Society currently St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Memorials may be directed to the family of Helen Hastings.
