Helen E. Perry, 84, of Streator passed away Monday morning (Sept. 30, 2013) at St. Mary’s Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Friday from 9-11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Grand Ridge Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Holly Perry and Jennifer Cantrell. Pallbearers will be Dale and Scott Perry, Tom and Shane Cox and Derek and Chad Hopkins.
Helen was born January 6, 1929 in Brunswick, MO to Lester and Nannie (Doughty) Armstrong.
She married Roy W. Perry on December 6, 1947. He passed away October 13, 1995.
Surviving are children, Diane Gebhardt, Dale (Nancy) Perry, and Patricia (Charles) Cantrell all of Streator, 6 grandchildren, Shane Cox, Tom (Kathy) Cox, Scott Perry, Derek (Michele) Hopkins, Chad (Monica) Hopkins, and Jennifer Cantrell, 8 great-grandchildren, Seth and Cade Cox, Holly Perry, Sophia Hopkins, Parker Hopkins, Nathan, Zachary, and Nick Cox, sister, Lynn (Bob) Fosler of Beloit, WI and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brother, Virgil Armstrong and sister Carol Theisinger.
Helen attended Grand Ridge Grade Schools and Dwight High School. She was of the Methodist Faith, a member of the Golden Emblem and retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1987.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or to the Donor’s Choice.
