Helen B. Rapp, 89 of Ancona passed away Monday (July 4th) at St. Mary's Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher and Tony Over, Martin and Katy Wiechmann, Steven and Julie Rapp and Emily and Joshua Shockley.
Helen was born June 14, 1922 in Grand Rapids Township to John and Margaret (Cairns) Bermes.
She married Lloyd Rapp on September 16, 1945. He passed away on September 26, 1996.
Surviving are sons, Gail (Ellen) Rapp of Streator and Dean Rapp of Ancona, daughter, Linda Over of Streator, 5 grandchildren, Katy (Martin) Wiechmann, Steven (Julie) Rapp, Emily (Joshua) Shockley, and Christopher and Tony Over, 4 great-grandchildren, Matthew and Megan Wiechmann, and Cole and Abbiegail Rapp, sister, Jean Causland of Streator, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, John and Donald Bermes, and a sister Margaret Bedecker.
Helen graduated from Streator High School. She was a member of the Park Presbyterian Church and a retired custodian of the church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and gardening.
Memorials may be directed to Park Presbyterian Church, St. Mary's Hospital Friends, or Good Samaritan Home in Flanagan.
