The family of Ian Paul Bauer is saddened to announce his untimely passing on Sunday (July 28, 2024) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
Ian was born on November 29, 2002, in Streator, IL, the son of Laura N. Redfern and Jeremy E. Bauer.
Ian is survived and missed by his son, Jayce Bauer sisters, Alie Bauer and Ava Welch, brother, Devin Bauer, his parents, maternal grandmother: Diane Redfern, paternal grandmother: Dianna Bauer, paternal grandfather Edmund Scott, great grandfather Morton “Russ” Baker, aunts and uncles: Christi (Mark) Newlin, Keri ( John Armstrong) Myre, Erin (Eric) Andrews, Russ (Leigh Ann) Kerr, Randi (Dean) Violi, Bob (Emily) Crawford, Taylor, Payton and Lynzee Scott and several cousins, extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter: Layla Holofchak; maternal grandfather: Robert “Bob” Redfern; and paternal grandfather: Jerry Bauer.
Ian was a hard-working construction worker and forklift operator. He had a passion for motorcycles, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and fishing trips. Ian was an organ donor. His organs have restored life’s promise for many families.
Visitation will be Saturday (August 3, 2024) from 10 to Noon at the Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral Services will be at noon at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Dickman officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
