Irene M. Snyder, 94 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (May 30th) at her home.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 10-11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.
Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cory and Matt Snyder, Edgar Slater, Michael Myers, Ryan and Tim Emm and Tyler Wright.
Irene was born on March 25, 1919 in Streator, Illinois to John and Mary (Nemec) Stasko.
She married Edward Snyder, Sr. on October 8, 1949. He passed away December 31, 1995.
Surviving is son, Edward (Pamela) Snyder, Jr. of Streator, grandsons, Cory Edward and Matthew David Snyder, sisters-in-law, Ruby and Tillie Stasko both of Streator, nephew, Gary Stasko, nieces, Patsy Emm and Debbie Hawthorne.
She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, John, Elmer, Fritz and Louis Stasko and sister Florence Sivell.
She attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. Irene retired from St. Mary’s Hospital as a Nurse’s Aid.
Memorials may be directed to Catholic Social Services.
