Jacqueline Lynn Van Gorder, 60 passed away Saturday (January 8, 2022) at her home.

Following cremation, a celebration of life will be held Saturday from 1 – 4 PM at the Streator Moose Lodge with a meal following a service at 1PM. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Seneca at a later date.
Jackie was born January 8, 1962, in Ottawa to James and Mary (Miller) Van Gorder. She married Randall Rodrick Sr. in 1990. He survives.
Also surviving are children; Shannon (Timothy) Hunt of Streator, David Kendall Jr of Jacksonville, Krystal (Nathan Junker) Kendall of Toluca and Randall (Leeann Artos) Rodrick Jr of Streator, 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, siblings, Kevin (Sheila Burton) Van Gorder of IN, Tammy (Larry) Miller of IN, Sue (Gary) Thomas of Streator, Kelli Freeman of Streator and Fred (Jennifer Kendall) Lurz of Flanagan and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Raymond, James and Brenda Van Gorder and James Lurz.
Jackie attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School. She was formerly employed at the former Thatcher Glass and lastly at Starved Rock Lodge. Jackie enjoyed camping, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. Her love is one of a kind if you felt it, you were lucky. Her grandchildren brought her great joy. She was a caregiver by nature and ensured her family was taken care of. She would drop anything if her loved ones needed help. She had a deep faith in God that has guided her through her life. She had the heart of a saint whose love was genuine and has shown compassion and empathy to anyone that had met her. Jackie had a radiant soul that could be seen through her beautiful blue eyes and her bright smile. She is missed dearly already and will be carried in the hearts of all the people who love her.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
