James R. Andree

James R. Andree, 86 of Streator, formerly of Blackstone passed away Sunday morning (August 28^th) at Heritage Health Care in Streator.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the funeral Home with the Rev. John Gutz officiating.  Burial will be in Emery Green Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Robert, Chris and Jason Andree, Cory Rogers, Nathan Studnicki and Nathan Matsko.  Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Sheila Rogers, Sara Perrotta, Trisha Studnicki, Julie Matsko and Staci Harcharik.

Jim was born on April 24, 1930 in Alfalfa, Oklahoma to Alfred and Ethel Andree. 

He married Eileen (Morrison) Andree on April 26, 1952.  She survives.

Also surviving are children, Jim (Shelly) Andree of Blackstone, Linda (Pat) Mc Gurk of Streator and David (Sue) Andree of Blackstone, 8 grandchildren, Sheila (Cory) Rogers, Sara (Glenn Cunningham)  Perrotta, Robert (Maureen) Andree, Trisha (Nathan) Studnicki, Julie (Nathan) Matsko, Chris(Charissa) Andree, Staci (Davey) Harcharik and Jason (Lindsey) Andree, 15 great-grandchildren, brother, William Andree of Streator and sister, Joylene Bournas of Shorewood.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim graduated from Streator High School in 1948.  He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.  Jim farmed in the Blackstone area all of his life. He enjoyed playing euchre and camping with his dear friends Bill and Marian Stasell.  He loved his family, including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
