James C. Flanery

James C. Flanery, 64 of Streator passed away Sunday (September 3^rd) in Streator.

Private family services will be held at the WInterrowd Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.

Jim was born on December 27, 1952 in Streator to Carl and Vela (Wilkerson) Flanery Sr.  He married Diane White on November 17, 1990.  She survives.

Also surviving are children James (Amy) Flanery of Ottawa, Adam (Allison) Flanery of Streator, Christie (Micah) Bennett of Arlington, VA, Collin Flanery of Streator, Logan Flanery of Streator, Step-daughter, Kim (Sean) Moxley of Ottawa, grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Hannah, Jonah, step-grandchildren Joshua and Nicole, brothers Carl, Jeff and Tony (Tara) Flanery all of Streator, sisters Kim Hogue of Streator and Teresa Chiado of Spring Valley and mother-in-law Nona White of Streator.

He is preceded in death by his father Carl Flanery Sr and mother Vela Hogue.

Jim attended Streator High School, served in the US Army and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.

Memorials may be made in his name to either St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Compassion International.
