Fump âJimâ James Carl Reeland, 61 of Streator passed away Friday afternoon (May 9th) surrounded by his brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM â 2PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2PM at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Niebuhr officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be his brothers, Leonard, Joe, Chuck, John and Gary, nephews Jerry Paul Libby, Joe Hirkala and cousin Don Reeland. Honorary will be his sisters Karen, Ada, Jackie and Zelma
Jim was born December 28, 1952 in Streator to Leonard âBuckâ and Sarah Loretta (Wilson) Reeland.
Surviving are sisters Karen Libby, Ada (James) Hirkala, Jacqueline Bliss all of Streator, Zelma Logan of Rushville, IL, brothers, Leonard (Jackie), Joseph, John, Charles and Gary Reeland all of Streator, several nieces and nephews, cousin/best friend Don âGertâ Reeland of Streator, Aunt Irene Cronk of Streator, Uncle Richard Wilson of Streator, many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Reeland, niece Hannah Harcar, nephew Jimmie Stillwell and great-niece Saranadee Grace Green-Libby.
Jim was employed at Topping Pizzeria, and Country Cupboard. He attended Northlawn Jr. High School and Streator High School and was a member of the Lazy Acres Sportsman Club. He was an avid fisherman, Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. One of his greatest joy was teaching all his nieces and nephews how to fish and listening to big band music and gardening.

Jim will be missed by all because he was the most selfless honest person his family and friends ever knew.
