Janet L. Murphy

Janet Louise Murphy, 69 of Streator passed away Monday morning (March 6^th) at her home.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM until Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Noon at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Bell Plain Baptist Cemetery, Pattonsburg.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny, Mikey, Keith Murphy, Eric and Alex Hjerpe, Matt Mills and Larry Mullen.

Janet was born on May 5, 1947 in Streator to John K. and Fay (Sipe) Murphy Jr.

She is survived by a son John (MaryEllen) Murphy of Streator, daughters Tonya and Kim Murphy both of Streator, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, siblings Pat (Irv) Mullen of Streator, Mike (Phyllis) Murphy of Streator, Terry (Cheryl) Murphy of Manville, Coleen Hjerpe of Streator, Audrey Murphy of Streator, Kelly Murphy of Streator, Kevin Murphy of Streator, Kim (Gary) Forristall of Princeton and several nieces and nephews.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, a son Shane, brother John K. Murphy III and a sister BJ Murphy and her children’s father Gilbert Cosek.

She graduated from Streator High School in 1965 and worked at various restaurants in Streator for many years.
