Jermaine Jay McIntyre,14, was born in Morris, IL to Ashley McIntyre. Jermaine was the eldest son of four children. Jermaine was always a happy child. He loved to dance around and make everyone laugh. His smile would light up any room he walked into. Jermaine and his older sister, Ariana, were best friends. They were each other’s biggest fans and could always count on one another. He loved being a brother. Deangelo Jr. would always hang out with him and his friends. He also played football and soccer like his big brother. His younger sister, Aleana, could always count on a piggyback ride with her “Maine”. She’d always try and sneak in on his tik toks. Jermaine never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. Jermaine enjoyed soccer and his team came in first place this past season. For the past two years, he participated in track and helped his team to state last year. This year he was crushing previous school times and was looking forward to his freshman year track season. Jermaine was an avid artist. He won first place in an art contest this year. He loved to be outside. Whether fishing, practicing for whichever sport season it was at the time, or just walking around with his friends. He will forever be remembered for his vibrant spirit, infectious smile and loving nature.
Jermaine is survived by his parents; Ashley McIntyre and Deangelo Peoples Sr., as well as his three siblings. He is also survived by his aunt “Nephne” Pace. His Aunt Kristina Miller, Uncle Nathaniel Allen, and Cousin Seth Farrell. Jermaine is preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother, Lisa McIntyre.
A celebration of life for Jermaine will be Saturday, August 12th, 2023, at Streator High School from 2pm-5pm with a dinner directly to follow at the PNA Hall in Streator.
