Jesus Antonio Fernandez 3rd a.k.a Sus, a.k.a Jeebus was born April 20th, 1970, in Chicago, Il. First born son to the late Angeline B. Fernandez and Jessie J. Fernandez 2nd. Very loved brother by all his siblings. He leaves behind his youngest brother and sister Martin and Christine Fernandez, his sister in friendship Sandy Windstead (thank you for everything) and his closest sister Bernadette Fernandez. A fun- loving uncle and Great uncle, he will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, his little baby sharks. Also left in mourning, is his love, best friend, and his soulmate, Joanie R. Fernandez. On Tuesday August 27th, 2024, he was called to heaven.
He attended Curie H.S in Chicago. Athletically inclined, he excelled in sports, his favorites being football and baseball. He won several trophies for his dedication to the game. He will be remembered as a die- hard fan of the White Sox and the Da Bears.
Jesus loved God, his family, and especially his animals. He was the best father to his four- legged companions and was proud of his furry children. He was their dad, and they were his babies. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
He was a hard worker. He settled down in Streator, IL where he managed Caseys. He will be fondly remembered by all who shared a workspace with him or had one of his delicious pizzas. We will never forget his many sayings like, “I will teach you, you will learn,” or a random Dj Khaled note “Another One,” or the best one “ if it’s free, it’s me!”. Silliness was in his nature. He could always make you smile if not laugh.
The hardships he endured, and the struggles he fought through were very hard, but he was tough and it’s what shaped him into the person we will miss for the rest of our days. He wouldn’t want us to mourn his death, he would want us to celebrate his life (with tacos!) Here’s to Sus our brother, our friend, and soulmate. We love you. This “sippy sip” is for you.
