Joann Burash

Joann M. Burash, 88 of Streator passed away Saturday afternoon (August 21, 2021) at Heritage Health, Streator.

Private family services will be held at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Joann was born on January 5, 1933 in Marseilles to Russell and Lela (Faris) Clark.  She married Andrew “Smiley” J. Burash on July 12, 1950.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2011.

Surviving are children; Monica Burash of Streator, Sherry Holt of Richmond, MI, Andrew (Cindy) Burash of Grand Ridge, Richard (Connie) Burash of Streator, Susan (Richard) Stehl of Streator, Daniel Burash of Peru, Michael (Patricia) Burash of Geneva, IL and John (Noel) Burash of Bourbonnais, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, sister Dorothy (Tom) Vagasky of Streator, brother-in-law, Robert Burash of Streator and sister-in-law, Dorothy (Tom) Wright of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Brittany Burash, brothers, Donald, Herbert and Charles and a sister Norma Cook.

Joann attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  She retired from First Midwest Bank after 25 years.
