John "Ed" E. Allison

John “Ed”  Allison, 53 of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (April 25^th) at his home.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 12 – 3 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Craig and Jason Piesker, Peep Libby, Matt Goetz, Coby Murphy and Blake Strubble.

Ed was born on November 5, 1964 in Streator to John E. and Eleanore “Jean” (Zebell) Allison.

Surviving is his wife of 38 years Sidnee Libby of Streator and son MMA3\SS Brett (Brittany Stewart) Allison of Hawaii in the US Navy and his cat “Bubbas” .  Also surviving are siblings Sherry (Craig) Piesker of Streator, Richard Allison of Streator, Don Brunson of Arkansas, Jennifer Brunson of Arizona and Mindy (Roberto) Espindola of Arkansas, mother-in-law Karen Libby of Streator, sisters-in-law Sarah Libby of Streator, Stephanie (Greg) Goetz of Streator and Sherry (Brady Yuhas) Libby of Streator and brother-in-law Peep (Theresa Bunch) Libby of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and step parents Jeannine Allison and Earl Paxton and a sister Kathy Allison.

Ed graduated from Streator High School in 1982 and was formerly employed at Hixon Lumber in Streator until his illness.  He enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, drawing and listening to music.
