John J Goralczyk

John J. Goralczyk Jr., 79 of Streator passed away Monday evening (February 27^th) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.

John was born on December 20, 1937 in Streator to John J. and Mary (Wightman) Goralczyk Sr.

He is survived by sons, Daniel, Tim, Scott and Loren Goralczyk all of Streator, 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, fiancée’ Sandra Curtiss of Streator, sisters Mary Lou (Kenneth) Armstrong of Streator, JoAnn (Kenneth) Cobb of Braidwood and June (Robert) Koch of Lockport and brother-in-law Thomas Dzursin of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, son Kristopher and a sister Annette Dzursin.

He attended Streator Grade Schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1955.  He was a carpenter for Harcar Brothers Construction for many years, was a member of St Michael the Archangel Church, Streator Eagles Club, Knights of Columbus, Marshall County Sportsman Club and Sandyford Sportsman Club.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
