John “Jack” William Cunningham, 72 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (April 23, 2025) surrounded by his loving family.
Jack was born on July 19, 1952, in Streator to William and Nancy (Piercy) Cunningham. He married Mary Beth (Smith) Cunningham on June 3, 1988.
Surviving is his wife Mary Beth, children, Robert Cunningham, Jody Cunningham, Ryan (Jamie) Cunningham all of Streator, Marc (Theresa Johnson) Bacha of Algona, Iowa and Ben (Patricia) Bacha of Streator, grandchildren, Morgan (Charlie) Jenkins, Spencer Jackson, Gabriella Jacobs, Gwendolyn (Gage) Presthus, Madelyn (Troy Woodcock) Cunningham and Colin Cunningham, Drew (Natalie) Bacha, Emma Bacha, Timothy Schneider, Bradley Bacha, Carsyn (Drew) Walker and Alex Bacha. Also surviving are siblings, Bill (Gloria) Cunningham of Cornell, LuAnn (Gary) Eustice of Streator and Richard (Julia) Cunningham of Streator.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Kristin Bacha and his former wife and mother of his children, Debra (Flanery) Hillier.
Jack graduated from Woodland High School in 1971 and attended I.C.C. where he studied architecture. He retired from Thatcher Glass and CMR. Jack was a member of the Central Church of Christ, Marshall County Sportsman Club, Streator Moose Lodge and Streator Eagles Club. He enjoyed making walking sticks, deer hunting and teasing his grandkids.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 – 6 P.M. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Central Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. at the Central Church of Christ. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery with serving as pallbearers will be Bradley Bacha, Spencer Jackson, Colin Cunningham, Jaxon Flahaut, Charlie Jenkins and Gage Presthus.
Memorials may be made to the family of Jack Cunningham.
