John "Jack" J. Underwood Sr.

John “Jack” J. Underwood Sr., 87 of Streator passed away Sunday morning (January 21, 2024) at the Pavilion of Ottawa.

Following cremation, private family services will be held.

Jack was born on August 7, 1936, in Ottawa to Hubert and Margaret (Besse) Underwood.

Surviving are sons, Robin, James and John Jr Underwood, daughter Eileen (Robert) Haughtigan all of Streator, grandchildren, Kristina Katchmar, Brandi (Freddy Fernandez) Rodrick, Julia (Ben) Rodgers and Lisa (Michael) Fraga and 4 great grandchildren, brothers Richard and Steve (Linda) Underwood, sisters, Becky (Dan) Hillyer and Elaine (Dennis) Gaydos and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Al and Don Underwood and sisters Pat Ward and Jane Hable.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
