John W. Riss

   John W. Riss , "JW" 61 of Streator passed away Sunday afternoon at St. Mary's Hospital.
   A visitation will be held on Friday from 9-11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
   Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at the funeral home.
   Burial will be in Emery Green Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Hjerpe, Kevin Chismarick, Dean Missel, Rick Hunter, Jim Batkiewicz, and Norman Perona.
   John was born on November 26, 1950 in Streator, IL to Earle and Joan (Blackburn) Riss.
   He married Pat Hillier on June 10, 1972. She survives.
   Also surviving are his daughters, Bobbi Sue (Rick) Franklin of Streator, and Adrienne Riss Sauers of St. Charles, and son, Darren Riss of Streator, 9 grandchildren, Taylor, Madison, and Kylie Starkey, Payton and Richard Franklin, Brady Sember, Alex and Lukas Sauers, and Kaitlyn Sopko, and sister, Jo Lynne Riss Peacock of Streator.
   He was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Randy Riss.
   John attended Otter Creek grade school and graduated from Streator High School in 1968.
   John was employed at Plymouth Tube in Streator as a machine operator for 30 years and was the sexton of Emery Green Cemetery in Kernan for many years.
