Joyce E. Johnson, 75 of Ancona passed away Sunday (June 17th) at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Scot and Kyle Decker, Ben Liptak, Adam and Mat McMullen, and Brett Elliott.
Joyce was born on October 15, 1936 in Streator to Ralph and Dorothy (Wreith) Walters.
She married Marion Johnson on July 27, 1973. He survives.
Also surviving are children, Pat (Tom) Decker of Long Point, Debbie Liptak of Streator, Sandy (Gene) McMullen of Streator and Curtis (Tiffany)Elliott of Fairbury , step-children, Brenda Voights of Cosby, TN, Julie (Jon) Durdan of Ancona, Donna (David) Essington of Dwight, Brad (Bonnie)Johnson of Long Point, and Andrea (Chris) Dye of Wenona, 11 grandchildren,13 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandson, sisters, Carol (Dave) Lesak of Ancona, and her twin sister, Janice (Gene) Hamilton of Ancona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Ralph Eugene Walters.
She was in the last graduating class of Long Point High School in 1954.
Joyce retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1994 and was a member of the Streator Eagles.
She was an avid bingo player.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, OSF Home Care, or charity of the Donors choice
