Karen L. Hoskins

Karen L. Hoskins, 76 of Streator passed away Thursday afternoon (Oct. 20^th) at Heritage Health Care in Streator.

A visitation will be held on Monday from 10AM-12Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Services will be held on Monday at 12Noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Karen was born on September 29, 1940 in Streator, IL to Ronald and Erma Hardgrove.

She married James Hoskins on February 5, 1966.  He survives.

Also surviving are children, Amy (Brian) Kelly of El Paso,  Brad (Christy) Hoskins of Streator and  Cari (Joe) Conroy of Elburn, 8 grandchildren, Breanna and  Allison Kelly, Kyle, Taylor and Trevor Hoskins and Ethan, Mason and Porter Conroy sister, Nancy (Ron) Senate of Streator, brother, Ron Hardgrove of Buffalo Grove and great-niece, Holly Vissering of Grand Junction, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nieces, Susan Vissering and Amy Senate.

She graduated in 1958 from Streator High School. Karen was formerly employed at B&R Grocery and was a volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital.

She was an avid reader and cake baker.
