Kristine Mary Ellen "Skaggs" White, 54 of Cornell passed away Monday (Dec. 17th 2012) at OSF St. James Hospital in Pontiac.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10AM-12Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12Noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James, Joe, Mark and Michael White, Jeff B. Fellers, Jeff J. Fellers, and Bill McClane.
Kristine was born on May 8, 1958 in Streator, IL to George Luther and Elizabeth Mary Ellen (Huber) Skaggs.
She married Melvin Lee White on March 18, 1997. He survives.
Also surviving are children, Joseph K. Fletcher of Mt. Zion, Jacyln M. (Dickie Mahoney) Fletcher of Pontiac, Jonathan W. (Daphne) Fletcher of Cornell, and Joshua S. Jenkins of Pontiac, 12 grandchildren, Brendan, Breanna, Cole, Abbie, Hannah, Kadin, Mallory, Isabella, Kayla, Brady, Brook, and Braxton, mother, Elizabeth M. Skaggs of Streator, she looked up to her big brothers, Kevin (Doreen) Skaggs of Streator, and Randy (Debbie) Skaggs of TX, and she looked after her baby sister, Lori (Anthony) Mateer of Streator and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Kristine was met at Heaven's gate by her father, George Luther Skaggs, brothers, Steven and James Skaggs, paternal grandparents, James and Frances Skaggs, maternal grandparents, Edward and Lula Huber, and numerous aunts and uncles.
She attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1976. She was a cashier at a convenient mart and was of the Methodist faith. She loved to cook, camp and loved country music, but most of all she loved her grandbabies and taking care of her husband.
