Laverne LePard

Laverne LePard, 90, of Streator, passed away Sunday, February 28th, 2021 at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation in Streator.

Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded, and there will be no services.  The Winterrowd Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Laverne was born in Streator on June 14, 1930 to Ralph and Mildred Longnecker.  She married Robert E. LePard of Streator, who preceded her in death.

Laverne is survived by son Robert R. LePard, grandson Andrew (Brittany) LePard, great-granddaughter Maddie Ruth LePard, friend Paulette Danley, and long-time family friend and caregiver Danny “Pee-Wee” Lynch.

Laverne was a life-long Streator resident, graduated from Streator Township High School, and previously employed by the Streator Public Library and the Streator Times newspaper.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Streator Public Library or a charity of the donors choice.
