Leila M. Durdan

Leila Mae Ashlock Durdan, 80 of Streator passed away Wednesday (April 24, 2019) in Streator.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 3- 6 PM and Monday from 10 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be her sons, Larry, Dale, Ray, Troy, Brian and Doug.

Leila was born on February 2, 1939 in Olney to Jay and Glendean (Harrolle) Ashlock.  She married Richard Durdan on June 18, 1955.  He survives.

Also surviving are sons Larry (Connie) Durdan of Streator, Dale Durdan of Streator, Ray (Kelly) Durdan of Sterling, Troy (Stephanie) Durdan of Streator, Brian (Terri) Durdan of Streator and Doug (Andrea) Durdan of Streator, 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, a brother James (Deborah) Ashlock of Streator. sisters Janene (Bill) Reese of Sherrills Ford, NC and Glenda (Robert) Frank of Sparland and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debbie Durdan, daughter-in-law Lisa Durdan and a brother Lawrence Dale Ashlock .

Leila attended Streator High School and was former owner of the Treasured Moments Bridal Shop in Streator and she was also a caretaker for the Naomi Reese family.  She enjoyed oil painting and doing arts and crafts.

Memorials may be made to Wolf Creek Cemetery Association or to the family of Leila Durdan.
