Lenora "Nori" Jean Jacobs

It is with great sadness to announce Lenora “Nori” Jean Jacobs, 60 of Streator passed away Friday (August 9, 2024) from a sudden severe illness at OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Rockford.

She was born to John Ashley and Connie (McCarragher) Walker in Streator on November 20, 1963.

Nori will be lovingly remembered by her children Brandon Jacobs of Streator, McKayla (Bryan Dorrance) Jacobs of Bloomington, sisters Karen Ashley of Streator, Wendi (Steve) Elliott of Naples, Fl, brother Justin (Donna) Walker of Streator, nephew Brad (Kristine) Krebsbach, their children Destany and Zackary Krebsbach and nephew Mark Krebsbach all of Streator, nieces Brittany Harper of Chicago and Kaylynn (Bradley) Chromchak of Long Point, her souls sisters Dawnyetta (Baxter) Gaska of Portland, OR, Susan (Greider) Fornero of Streator and Linda (Aulabaugh) Lindberg of Table Grove, IL.

Nori is preceded in by her parents and her beloved dog Annie.

Through the years she had many jobs she loved, Vactor Mfg., waitressing at the Eagles Club, at the Streator grade schools as a lunch lady and a Paraprofessional, at the YMCA as a babysitter, Wal-Mart, she was election judge. She adored all babies and shopping with her older sister Karen, Nori had a laugh that was recognizable all through Walmart. She had the most beautiful heart and soul. Nori will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held Sunday (Aug. 18th) from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4p.m.
