Lester "Ollie" O. Gaff

Lester “Ollie†Gaff, 87 of Streator passed away Thursday evening (Jan. 16th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
A visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:30 – 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with full military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and VFW.
Lester was born on December 18, 1926 in Blackstone to John and Lydia (Hodock) Gaff. He married Dorothy Martin on April 14, 1951 and she passed away on August 14, 2007.
Surviving are son, Tom (Tami) Gaff of Clinton, daughter, Linda (Ron) Sullivan of Streator, 4 grandchildren, Chris and Jennifer Gaff, Lynette and Leah Sullivan.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Bertha Pennington.
He was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and was a life member of the Streator American Legion and VFW and also Sandyford Sportsman Club, First United Methodist Church and retired from Owen’s Illinois Glass in 1988.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Friends of St. Mary’s Hospital or to the Streatorland Food Pantry.
