Lillian M. McMenamin

Lillian M. McMenamin, 91 of Streator passed away Tuesday (December 29, 2020) at Parker Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Burial will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.  The Winterrowd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons,

Lillian was born on April 16, 1929 in Streator to Joseph and Mary (Mallick) Senko.  She married Leon McMenamin on October 21, 1950.  He preceded her in death on June 11, 1990.

Surviving are son, Michael (Carol) McMenamin of Spooner, WI, daughter, Gigi (Mark) Vissering of Streator, son, Kevin (Jeanne) McMenamin of Long Point, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and a close friend Norma Risley of Streator.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, son Jim McMenamin, daughter, DiAnne Ratliff, 2 great-grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

Lillian graduated from Streator High School in 1947. She attended Beauty School in Peoria and retired as a hairdresser after 50 years.  Lillian was a member of the former St. Stephen’s Church and currently St. Michael the Archangel Church, the Altar and Rosary Society.  She enjoyed flowers, painting and ceramics.

Memorials may be made for masses in her name.
