Linda L. Jennings, 78 of Streator passed away Wednesday (June 7, 2023) at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

Private family graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Bill Callister officiating.

Linda was born on December 28, 1944, in Streator to George and Dorothy (Price) Luke.  She married Ron Jennings on December 29, 1962.  He survives.

Also surviving is a daughter Tracy Lynn (Harold) Oelschlager of Bloomington, nephew Donald George Luke of Streator, nieces Leann Austin of Kangley and Nikki Meyer of Bloomington and sisters in law, Barbara Jennings of Pontiac, and Debra (Craig) Meyer of Bloomington.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Georgene Luke and brother and sister-in-law Donald and Maggie Luke.

Linda graduated from Streator Township High School in 1963.  She retired from Mr John’s Drycleaners.

She was a member of the Streator Women’s Bowling Association and an officer for 25 years.  Linda was an Illinois Women’s Bowling Association scratch singles champion, Streator Bowling Association – Bowler of the year, multiple presidential award winner and she received city tournament awards for singles and double teams and all events and numerous All-Star teams events. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made in her name to either St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the Streator American Legion Post 217.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
