Linda E. Sloan, 67 of Ottawa and formerly of the Long Point and Streator area passed away Friday (October 16th) at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Joliet.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons, Spencer, Michael, Tyler, Isaac and Mason, son-in-law, Matthew and nephews, Brandon, Travis and Darrin. Honorary will be grandsons Reed, Ethan, Walter and Grant.
Linda was born on July 23, 1948 in Streator to Charles and Faye (Zeilman) Sloan Jr.
She is survived by children, Dean (Martha) Lehman of Burlington, WI, Kari Lehman of Ottawa, Chad (Marie Hardt) Lehman of LaMoille, Jeremy (Judy Wisneski) Lehman of Ottawa and Mehgan (Matthew) Haage of Ottawa, grandchildren, Spencer, Ashely, Michael, Tyler, Leticia, Isaac, Mason, Walter, Ethan and Grant, great-grandson, Reed, sisters Cheri Edwards of Dayton, OH, Peggy Stimpert of Long Point, Jacqui (Ritch) Davis of Springfield, brothers Charles “Pat” (Leslie) Sloan of Mountainburg, Arkansas, Doug (Debbie) Sloan of Palatine and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Kevin.
Linda graduated from Woodland High School in 1966 and IVCC in 1997. She was a member of the Long Point Christian Church, Long Point American Legion. She retired from Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa. Linda enjoyed crafting, baking, painting, gardening and being with her grandchildren.
