Lois Ann Brooke

Lois Ann Brooke, 74 of Streator passed away Wednesday morning (January 24, 2024) at her home.

A visitation will be held Tuesday from 4 – 6  PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home with services following at 6PM.  Cremation rites will follow services.

Lois was born on February 1, 1949, in Streator to Steve and Ann (Olsen) Dutko Sr.  She married James Brooke on February 10, 1971.  He preceded her in death on February 21, 2017.

Surviving are daughters, Teresa Brooke of Texas, and Jamie (Bojan) Petrovich of New York, grandchildren; Marlee (Jack) Hays III, Richard Steen, Amina Irwin, Luka and Lillian Petrovich, her beloved dog Scooter, and grand dogs, Diamond, Ghost and Draco, brothers Gerald (Cindy) Dutko and Richard (Sharon) Dutko both of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, brothers David and Steve, sisters, Donna Stanford and Jean Rhodes and 2 grand dogs, Sadee and Kane.

Lois attended Streator grade schools and Streator High School.  She was formerly employed at Thatcher Glass for 26 years, Carolina Logistics for 10 years, Snap On Tools for 5 years and retired from Heritage Health.   Lois enjoyed playing cards and sitting at the computer playing games.
