<font size="2">Richard D. "Beetle" Bailey</font>

Richard Dean "Beetle" Bailey, Sr., 66 of Streator passed away Friday (March 12) at St. Mary's Hospital, Streator.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator with Rev. Jim Eplin of The Lighthouse officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Earl Hobert, Jr., Xyrius Dickerson, Dalton and Reid Bailey, Dick Huffines, and Richard Dean Bailey, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Vivian, Jim Gould, and Jerry Compton.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.

Richard was born, July 11, 1943 in Streator, the son of Vernon and June (Harlacher) Bailey, Sr.

Surviving are sons, Richard Dean (Angela) Bailey of Lenoir City, TN, Brian Zyblut, daughter, Rebecca Dickerson of Oak Ridge, TN, brother, Vernon (JoAnn) Bailey of Streator, sisters, Phyllis Eplin of Streator, Tina Smith of Schertz, TX, and Diane (Dwain) Heffernon of Fort Walton Beach, FL, 5 grandchildren, Dalton and Reid Bailey, Cameron, Jaanai, and Xyrius Dickerson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward and a sister, Louise Bailey.

He graduated from Streator High School in 1962.

He retired from Owens Illinois Glass in 1998. He was a member of the Streator Eagles Club.
