Lucile E. Brown

Lucile E. Brown, 90 of Grand Ridge, passed away Saturday (Dec. 12) at Camelot Terrace Nursing Home, Streator.

Visitation will be Wednesday (Dec. 16) from 4-6pm at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 6pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be Thursday at 11AM in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Farm Ridge Township.

Born, January 9, 1919 in Rochelle, IL to Berry and Edythe (Sanders) Nelson.

Married Erwin Cardott in 1939. He passed away in 1970. She then married Harold Brown in 1977. He passed away in 2006.

Surviving is Daughter, Sharon Applebee of Grand Ridge, Sons, Terry (Merilee) Cardott of Phoenix, AZ, and Berry Cardott, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Brother, Mike (Shirley) Nelson of Rockford, 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandsons.

She was preceded by a son-in-law Roger Applebee.

She graduated from Rochelle High School, member of St. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore, and retired from Woolworths in Las Vegas.
