Lucille L. Whittom, 88 of Minonk and formerly of Streator passed away Sunday morning (September 11, 2011) at St. Mary's Hospital.
A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10AM-12Noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12Noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Phillips Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck, Terry, and Jerry Toole, Amanda Richardson, Ron LaGesse, and Ron Volk.
Lucille was born on September 22, 1922 in Ocoya, IL to Levi and Flora (Harmon) Whitehurst.
She married Charles Cronk. He passed away in 1952. She then married Claudia Whittom on November 3, 1970. He passed away April 28, 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Cheryl (Ronald) Volk of Rutland, Donna (Ronald) LaGesse of Momence, step-children, Clara Whittom of Ottawa, Patricia Lamangno of Streator, and James Whittom of MO, 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Lucille was a former member of the Rutland Christian Church and a current member of Central Church of Christ. She was a homemaker.
Memorials may be directed to Heritage Manor of Minok.
