Maggie Jamison

Margaret “Maggie” A. Jamison, 86 of Streator passed away Tuesday evening (August 6, 2024) at the OSF Center for Health, Streator.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 9a.m. until 11a.m. at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with funeral services being held at 11a.m. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Hays and Matthew Jamison, Travis Brue, Dale Henkel, Terry Ragusa and Michael Jamison.

Maggie was born on July 24, 1938, in Streator to Patrick and Mildred (Jacobs) Neiggemann. She married Francis “Jr” Jamison on May 5, 1956, They were married for 68 years. He survives.

Also surviving is daughter Janet (Dale) Henkel of Streator, sons, Daniel (Debbie) Jamison of Bloomington and Scott (Julie) Jamison of Saybrook grandchildren, Jeremy (Megan) Hays, Jennifer Hays, Lani (Travis) Brue, Matthew and Mark Jamison, Jessica (Zack) Barcus and Michael Jamison, great grandchildren, Maverick, Mason, Izzy, Jamison, Jace and Oaklynn, brother David Neiggemann of Streator and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Norma Adamchak, and brothers Dick, Jack, Bill, Pat and Fred Neiggemann.

Maggie attended Streator High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Maggie was a member of the former Streator Country Club and Twins Creeks where she enjoyed playing golf, and bowling and taking care of her grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
