Margaret Jean Provance

Margaret Jean Provance, 80 of Grand Ridge passed away Thursday evening (Mar. 4th) at Camelot Terrace.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 - 11AM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home with services to be held at 11AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Grand Ridge Cemetery. Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Great-Grandchildren, Heidi, Mark, Ben, Al, Justin, Brittany, Matthew, Megan, Brady, Hannah, Maddie, Ella, Declan, Saje, Morgan, Briar, Robert Jr., Ava. Active pallbearers will be Curt Plymire, Jimmy Knox, Jon Stevens, John Torres, Kevin and Dana Provance.

Born February 10, 1930 in Ottawa to Arthur and Audrey (Moss) Schmitt. She married Donald "Scoop" Provance on June 10, 1955. He passed away Jan. 5, 2006.

Surviving are daughter, Sheryne Contreras of Grand Ridge, son, Sherman "Skip" (Nancy) Hall of Dayton, daughter, Lu (Bill) Schultz of Manville, 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, brothers, Arthurs ("Dewey" (Mary Lou) Schmitt of Grand Ridge, Frank Schmitt of Streator, sister, Audrey Joy Plymire of Ransom.

She is preceded in death by a brother Mark.

She was formerly employed at St. Mary's Hospital and Camelot Terrace as Nurses Aid and a member of the Former Grand Ridge Presbyterian Church, she attended Ottawa High School.
