Marilyn F. Durdan, 76 of Grand Ridge passed away Saturday morning (Oct. 19th) at her home.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4 â 8PM at the Grand Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10AM at the St. Maryâs of the Fields Church, Grand Ridge. Burial will be in the Grand Rapids Cemetery, Grand Ridge.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bob, Bill, James and Tom Durdan, Gus and Dale Rinker, Rachel Duffield and Catlin Rinker.
Marilyn was born on April 22, 1937 in Streator to Lloyd E. and Helen (Frings) Rinker. She married James Durdan on January 12, 1957. He survives.
Also surviving are children Patricia (Calvin) Duffield of Ransom, Greg (Lynn) Durdan of Grand Ridge, Peg (John) McMahon of Des Moines, Iowa, Paula Sue Durdan of Springfield and Steve (Diane) Durdan of Grand Ridge, 10 grandchildren, sister; Carolyn Rinker-Russick of Streator, brothers; Verlyn âGusâ (Kim) Rinker of Grand Ridge, Dale (Linda) Rinker of Grays Lake, and several nieces and nephews.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents.
She was a very active member of the St. Maryâs of the Field Church and the LaSalle County Home Extension. She loved sewing, baking, planting flowers, and, most especially, spending
time with her grandchildren.
