Marilyn J. Wierenga

Marilyn J. Wierenga, 74 of Streator, passed away Monday (Aug. 10th) at St. John's Hospital, Springfield
Visitation will be held Friday from 9 - 11AM at the Pontiac Bible Church. Funeral services will be held at 11am at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Stickney, IL. Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator in charge of arrangements.
She was born July 13, 1935 in Cicero, IL to Edward and Theresa (Visser) Vanderleest. She married Harvey Wierenga on September 29, 1961, he survives.
Surviving are daughters, Lynn Wierenga of Grays Lake, IL, Sue (Ralph) McClure of Odell, IL, 4 grandchildren, David, Brittany, Joshua and Emily McClure; brother, Robert Vanderleest of Alcona, MI, sisters, Kay Tameling of Elmhurst, IL, Ruth DeBoer of Lombard, IL
She was preceded in death by, 2 brothers, Edward and William Vanderleest.
She retired from Lutheran Child and Family services in River Forest and Lions International in Oakbrook.
She attended Timothy Christian Grade School in Cicero and graduated from Chicago Christian High School in Chicago.
