Marion J. Sked

Marion J. Sked, 89 of Streator passed away Wednesday (June 26, 2024) at her home.

A visitation will be held Monday from 10a.m. until 12noon at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandson, John, Jason, Travis and Jacob Yuhas, Pat Promenschenkel and Landen Long.

Marion was born on August 18, 1934, in Streator to Frank and Minnie (Halderman) Kakara. She married Ralph Sked on September 11, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2004.

Surviving are daughters Marcia Stash and Maribeth (Ted) Promenschenkel both of Streator, grandchildren, John, Jason (Bridgett), Travis (Michelle) and Jacob (Daisy) Yuhas, Pat (Felicia) Promenschenkel and Jennifer (Shane) Schumaker, and 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ralph, grandson Keith Promenschenkel and brothers Don Kakara and Jim Hall.

Marion attended St Stephen’s Grade School and Streator High School. She was formerly employed at TG&Y, Streator Unlimited and a bus monitor for First Student.
