Marjorie Ann Burkett

Marjorie Ann Burkett, 78, of rural Cornell, passed away Tuesday morning at Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac, IL.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home, Streator, and Saturday from 10-11AM at the Cornell United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Cornell United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Cornell Cemetery.

Born, January 15, 1931 in Streator, IL to Harold and Eunice (Davidson) Mitchell.

Married Gene Burkett on April 25, 1954. He survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Susan (Terry) Freese of Cornell, brother, Richard (Marilyn) Mitchell, of Streator, and 2 grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua Freese of Cornell.

She was preceded in death by her son, Greg, and daughter Gayle.

She attended Streator grade schools and graduated from Streator High School in 1949. Member of Cornell Methodist Church where she was the organist, Formerly a member of the Naomi Ruth Circle.
