Mary Lue Banks, 72 of Streator passed Wednesday (September 11, 2019) at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday (Sept. 21st) from 10 – 11 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church, Ottawa. Funeral services will be held Saturday (Sept. 21st) at 11 AM at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mary was born on July 8, 1947 in Louise, MS to Jimmy and Maggie (James) Ford. She married Raymond Banks on October 2, 1984. He passed away on August 4, 2008.
Surviving are, daughter Mary Ann Ford of Streator, son Roy (Sheri) Ford of Lacon, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sister Ernestine (Earl) Phillips of Ottawa, brother Jeff Ford of Streator, nieces whom she raised, Linda Coleman of Streator, Edna Coleman of Toluca and Lueann Hendrix of Streator, nephew, Marvin Phillips of Streator and many other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John L. Ford and a sister Edna Mae Coleman.
Mary was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ottawa and was formerly a cook at the West Memphis High School in W. Memphis, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
