Mary Kay Hoffmeyer, 67 of Streator passed away Tuesday (June 11, 2019) at OSF St. James Hospital, Pontiac.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 9 – 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home with Fr. Ryan Mattlingly officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Ron and Billie Joe Mehalic, Ron Salisbury, Erick Baker, Dave Sabel and Jerry Kmetz.
Mary Kay was born on August 3, 1951 in Streator to Donald and Vera (Jonen) Baker. She married Bernard “Bernie” Hoffmeyer on November 8, 1969. He survives.
Also surviving are children Brian Hoffmeyer of Flanagan, Eric (Jodie Baker) Hoffmeyer of Streator, Joel Hoffmeyer of Streator and Katie (Ron) Salisbury of Streator, grandchildren, Haley, Ethan, Anna, Jerzie, Ady, Alyssa and Sam, siblings, Carol Mance of Flanagan, Tom Baker of Streator, Donna (John) Bandura of Danville, KY, Tim (Mary Beth) Baker of Bloomington, Becky (Bud) Blue of Streator, mother-in-law Bernice Neiggemann of Ottawa and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Janet and Ron Mehalic, brother David “Art” Baker and sister-in-law Marion Baker.
Mary Kay attended St. Anthony Grade school and graduated from Streator High School in 1969. She was formerly employed at Streator Unlimited and St. Mary’s Hospital. Mary Kay was a member of the former St. Anthony Church and currently St. Michael the Archangel Church. Mary Kay loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice or to her family.
