Matthew Ryan Dunning

Matthew R. Dunning, 30, of Streator passed away Wednesday evening (October 16th) in Newtown Township from injuries due to an automobile accident.
A visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Monday at 7PM at the funeral home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Burial will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Rapp, Bill Diehl, Jonah, Roger, and Chuck Dunning, Dave Mueller, and Dave Durgach.
Matt was born on November 12, 1982 in Streator, IL to Robert and Susan (Neal) Dunning.
He married Meredith MacKenzie on July 25, 2008. She survives.
Also surviving is daughter, Tessa Christensen, son, Jacob Dunning, step-daughters, Anna Davidson and Rachel Williams all of Streator, mother, Susan Dunning of Bailey, NC, brothers, J.R. (Tina) Dunning of Minonk, and Eric Reaska of Bailey, NC, sister, Brandy (Josh) Massey of Zebulon, NC, maternal grandmother, Margie Winbourne of Bailey, NC, step-mother, Lisa Dunning of Streator, nephew, Tyler Dunning, and nieces, Sierra, Miranda, and Caylie Massey.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, sister, Ashley Nichole Dunning in infancy, maternal grandfather, Eric Winbourne and paternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Dunning.
He attended Woodland grade school and graduated from Woodland High School in 2001. He attended IVCC and was employed at John’s service and Sales in Oglesby and was a sheet metal worker with Local #1.
Matt enjoyed spending time with at the river and working with his hands and helping people.
