Maxine Elizabeth Beutke Carpenter 97 of Boulder Colorado and formerly of the Long Point Ancona area passed away Wednesday (May 1st) in Boulder CO.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 9 â 11AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Ancona Cemetery.
Maxine was born on January 10, 1916 in Lostant, IL to Ernest and Mildred Beutke. She married Harold Carpenter on June 27, 1941 he passed away on July 31, 2000.
Surviving are son Thomas (Sue) Carpenter of Delta, CO, grandchildren, Tyson (Lauren) Carpenter of Denver, CO, Paul Carpenter of Delta, CO, Joel Carpenter of Colorado Springs, CO, Breanne (Chris) Newcomb of Boulder, CO and great-grandchild Gavin Newcomb, brother Gordon (Betty) Beutke of West Chicago, sisters-in-law, Wilma Beutke of Long Point and Katy Beutke of Flanagan and several nieces and nephews.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons John and Steve Carpenter, sister Barbara Jean Stewart and brothers Donald, Robert, John, Wallace and William Beutke. She was the Dean of Girls at the West Junior High School in Colorado Springs, CO and a volunteer at Penrose Hospital for 18yrs and Home Economic Society. Member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs and received a BA in Education and Administrator license.
