Michael M. Garcia

Michael M. Garcia, 41 of Cornell passed away Saturday (July 28th) at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 – 1 PM at the New Life Christian Center, Cornell.  Services will be held Saturday at 1 PM at the New Life Christian Center.  Burial will be in the Cornell Cemetery.

The Winterrowd Funeral Home in Streator is in charge of arrangements.

Michael was born on April 27, 1977 in Chicago to Carlos and Deborah (Williams) Garcia.  He married Mary Wolford in January of 2008.  She survives.

Also surviving are children Savanna Garcia of Tennessee, Anthony Slywka, Michael Jr., Jayden, Passion, Chance and Serenity Garcia all of Cornell, his father of Chicago, his mother of Channahon, sister Jennie Garcia of Wheeling and a brother Jason Garcia of Channahon.

Michael was employed at the Streator Waste Water Treatment Plant, he enjoyed fishing and playing basketball with his children.
