Michael R. Negray

Michael Raymond Negray, 71 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (October 24, 2019) at his home.

A visitation will be held Monday from 4 – 7 PM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors conducted by members of the Streator American Legion and Streator VFW.

Serving as pallbearers will be his sons Jerimiah and Jacob Negray, brother Timothy Negray, nephews Brett and Chase Negray and Ronnie Spandet.

Michael was born on March 25, 1948 in Streator to John and Betty (Berg) Negray II.

Surviving are sons; Jerimiah (Heather) Negray of Pontiac and Jacob (Katie) Negray of Odell, grandchildren, Lindsey, Audrey, Summer and Noah Negray, sisters; Jerilynn Spandet of Penellas Park, FL, Jeannie Sarnes of Streator, brother Timothy (Faith) Negray of Streator, sister-in-law June Negray of Streator and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, brother John and nephews Shane and Eric Negray.

Michael attended St. Stephen’s Grade School and graduated from Woodland High School in 1966.  He served in the US Army as a Vietnam Veteran in Germany as a medic.  Michael retired as a laborer and was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Church.
