Mildred Day, 83, of Lynnwood, Washington passed away on November 24th at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 10 from 9 - 11 AM at the Winterrowd Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers will be sons, Ray Day and Joe Day, son-in-law, Don Runyan, grandsons Dan Miller and Andy Miller and nephew Bob Day.
Mildred was born on October 9, 1928 in Streator, IL to Alonzo and Alice (Kinkade) Edmonds. She married Herman Day in 1948. He died on December 12, 2003
Surviving are her sons, Ray Day of Spotsylvannia,Virginia, Joe Day of Seattle, Washington and daughter, Peggy Runyan of Pine, Colorado. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Edmonds and Joseph Edmonds, and sisters, Virginia Carby, Rudy Sweet, Alice Cheney, and Ruth Pollett.
Mildred was a long time resident of Streator and Grand Ridge before moving to Washington state in 1992.
For more than 10 years Mildred was actively involved with the Mountlake Terrace Concern for Neighbors Food Bank serving as both a volunteer and staff member of the Board of Directors.
