Mildred L. Holbrook, 99 of Streator passed away Thursday morning (Mar. 1, 2012) at St. Mary's Hospital.
Private family graveside services will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Winterrowd Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mildred was born on August 27, 1912 in Nashville, IL to Henry and Louisa (Grote) Hake.
She married Raymond Holbrook in San Francisco on August 6, 1935. He passed away on November 17, 1993.
Surviving are children, Phyllis Holbrook of Port St. Lucie, FL, Beverly (John) Guy of Streator, Herbert Holbrook of Haines City, FL, and Brenda (Robert) Weers of Rockford, 6 grandchildren, Margaret, Jeanie, Sandra, Susan, Robert J., and Carla, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Herbert and Erwin.
Mildred worked at Owens Illinois Glass for 22 years. She was of the Methodist faith and loved cats, knitting, and board games.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army.
