Nancy A. Brown

Nancy Brown, age 75 of Streator passed away Monday evening (July 29, 2024) at her home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Winterrowd-Hagi Funeral Home is trusted with arrangements.

Nancy was born on December 23, 1948, at Watertown N.Y. to Necia McCarthy Lundermann. She married William “Willie” David Brown on November 7, 1975. He passed away August 23, 2019. 

She is survived by her children; Scott Schriener of Trujillo Peru South America, Christen Schriener, Chad Brown, Jason (Kelly Williams) Brown, Jeremy (Malika Ordorff) Brown, Tracey (Jay Mesarchik) Brown all of Streator, Trina (Jim) Hunt of Idaho and Troy (Wendy) Brown of Camp Douglas, WI. 18 grandchildren: Anthony, Kelsi, Rhianna, Keira, Donovan Jr{Bubba} , Avril, Darien, Joshua, Lora, Haley, Jay, Isabella, Christopher, Samantha (Coleman), Tarissa, Tia, Ashton, Avery and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister Shelly. Memorials may be made to the family.

Nancy graduated from Streator Township High School with the class of 1967. She then joined the United States Air Force where she studied Nursing. She then become a Nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital in Streator and a few nursing homes then finished her nursing career in Ottawa when she retired. 

She loved her family first, then her Cubbies, music, the ocean and preparing a huge meal for her family especially her baked goods.
